There are two main shopping centers in the master community of Grayhawk: Grayhawk Plaza and Hayden Peak Crossing.
Grayhawk Plaza is located on the west side of the community along N. Scottsdale Rd. just a couple blocks from the school and the main Grayhawk Park. This shopping facility features an animal hospital, grocery stores and banks, fast food shops and gas stations, the dentistry, discount tire, dry cleaners, a fitness and spa location, boutiques and drugstores.
Hayden Peak Crossing is located just outside Grayhawk’s borders across the street from Thompson Peak Park. This shopping center also features banks and markets including Fry’s, hair salons, fast food options, a yoga salon, pet supply stores and investment companies.
From there the closest would probably be on the corner of N. Pima Rd. and E. Thompson Peak Pkwy. a little further to the east. To the north on the corner of N. Scottsdale Rd. and East Pinnacle Peak Road is a small Safeway Plaza with the Subway, bank, and a couple other fast food and dining options. All along East Pinnacle Peak Road are numerous churches, large shopping facilities, emporiums and restaurants. But, I would say that the majority of Grayhawk residents shop at these two main shopping areas.
Downtown Scottsdale is about 16 miles or 25 minutes along Highway 101. Phoenix Arizona is about 27 miles away or 35 minutes depending on traffic. Another major city would be Glendale Arizona, 32 miles from Grayhawk or about 40 minutes depending on which direction you go. About 25 minutes north or 15 miles is a small community of Cave Creek. There are several smaller shops and boutiques and a limited amount of dining options.
