September Happenings in Grayhawk


There are a lot of fun events happening around the Grayhawk communities this September. Here’s a list of events, activities, sports and things to do this month.

Hiker in mountains

Starting on Tuesday, September 14 running through December 15 is the martial arts and karate class at the Talon Room.  Juniors start at 5:15 PM until 6:15 PM and seniors start at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a variety of karate, judo, Tai Chi, jujitsu and tae kwon do from master Mark Williams. Williams has been teaching for over 30 years. The first class is open to younger children ages five through nine and runs 12 weeks for $150. Students and adults can participate in the second class for seniors for $175 for a 15 week session. Droppings are welcome at $5 per class.

Also on September 14 is the Hub Sports Soccer at the Grayhawk Greenbelt starting at 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. This soccer program is designed to teach children the fundamentals of soccer with programs for ages two through five. A minimum of six children are required in the cost is $129.

September 15 at 5:00 PM at the Mesquite Grill is ladies night out. Enjoy American cuisine and fantastic entertainment with great deals on appetizers and drinks. The patio will be open if weather permits and this is a great time to socialize with neighbors and friends. Space is limited so be sure to RSVP at 48-563-9839 by September 11.

September 16 kicks off Fab Fit for Home at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Premier Fitness. This is a high intensity, full body workout opportunity at no cost for Grayhawk  residents. You do need to RSVP by September 14 to 48-563-9839.

 Lunch Bunch: Rhythm and Wine is happening September 19 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at 7605 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd. This is a great event for families, friends and neighbors for just $10.

Grayhawk Hiking Club Kicks off their 2015/2016 season on Monday, September 21 from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM at the Talon Room.  You can join the hiking club for their annual season. This club offers several hikes each month from October through April with a variety of difficulty.

September 24 at Isabella’s Kitchen is Thirsty Thursday Mixologist at 5:30 PM. This is a great way to learn how to make your favorite cocktails. The event is $20 per person, 21 years and over and includes multiple drinks per person.
