The McCormick Ranch is located north of downtown Scottsdale just south of E. Shea Blvd. and north of E. Indian Bend Rd., West of . Pima Rd. and East of N. Scottsdale Rd. At the south end of the community is the McCormick Ranch Golf Club. The golf course intermingles around communities such as Sandpiper Scottsdale, Traviata, Camino De Arboles, Villa La Playa and Heritage Village II.
Golf club is located in the heart of the McCormick Ranch and features two unique courses, the Palm and the Pine. Both have beautiful views of Camelback and McDowell Mountain with pockets of desert infusion and beautiful resort style golf design. The golf club is perfect for parties, get-togethers or larger venues such as weddings or Mitzvahs. With numerous tournaments throughout the year, a full-service restaurant, gallery and pro shop, McCormick Ranch is open 365 days a year offering different types of annual memberships.
The ranch began nearly 75 years ago developed in 1942 by Merle Cheney. It was sold to the McCormick’s as the largest ranch located in the city of Scottsdale. The McCormick’s donated 100 acres of land to the city in 1967, 30 acres specifically designated as a railroad park. The golf club opened in 1972 with the courses and dining facilities open to the public. Today it is grown into 3100 acres with a collection of 8900 homes, condominiums, apartments and villas with over 27,000 residents. Edward Pincas purchased the golf club in 1979 and has continued to operate it as a family owned business.
Annual memberships are designed to fit the individual member. Never ship year runs from November 1 through October 31 with no initiation fee except for payment of annual dues when you become a full-fledged member. There are four types of membership; seven day, for a day, three day and a summer membership. All members receive complementary range access seven days a week.
Membership to the golf club includes an eight day advance booking priority over general public, complementary green fees and balls, discounted cart fees and 20% awful priced merchandise. Members receive a courtesy locker and bag storage and preferred guest rates. They also get to join in member appreciation tournaments and events.
However, McCormick Ranch Golf Club is open to the public for additional fees.
The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch with a combination of American cuisine and Southwest flavors. The dining room and patio are perfect for relaxing dining experience overlooking the Palm course. Reservations are recommended. Dishes include chicken sandwiches and salads, the McCormick Cobb salad, green chili chicken, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and half pound black Angus burgers.
The wedding and banquet venue is perfect for just about any occasion. With a beautiful views of the nearby mountains and the golf course, residents have the choice of the West lawn pavilion, ceremony site on the grassy shores of Scottsdale’s largest lake and the clubhouse at McCormick Ranch, ideal for parties from 50 to 100 people. The pavilion can accommodate up to 400 people.

There are numerous homes surrounding the golf course as well as nestled in amongst the tees and fairways. Home prices start at about $340,000 and ranges high as $1 million although that is on the higher end. The average price is around $520,000 for a home on the course in McCormick Ranch.
