The Grayhawk Golf Course is located just off E. Thompson Peak Pkwy and the course stretches north and south of the Pkwy with the clubhouse just off the road. The Grayhawk golf course began in 1994 and on November 12, 1995 the clubhouse opened. In 1995, the second Tom Fazio designed course called the Raptor open for public play. The addition completed Grayhawk’s lineup of 36 holes in the beautiful desert landscape.
At the end of 1998, Grayhawk open the Fairway house, the club’s premier event hall overlooking the beautiful Raptor course surrounded by an event lawn and beautiful patios.
The Talon course provides beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains as well as the Scottsdale city skyline. The back nine was built around a series of deep box canyons with thick stands of Mesquite, Palo Verde and Ironwood trees. This 6973 yard course is one of the highest rated daily fee golf courses in Arizona. It’s been noted in Golf Magazine as one of the top 100 prestigious courses to play in the US.
The Raptor was designed by Tom Fazio stretching 7090 yards from back trees over gentle hills and natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert. This par 72 course is considered one of the finest daily fee courses in the state and listed as one of the best public courses by Golf Magazine. Raptor was renovated in 2015 relocating holes 15, 16, and 17.
The golf course also features a learning center with instructors and lessons. Regardless of the golfers ability or age, these lessons improve game needs and play from one-on-one, personalized lessons to half-day workshops and three-day golf schools. The Learning Center is available for teams, individual programs and juniors.
The Grayhawk golf club offers a wide range of rental capabilities, if you simply don’t have clubs or forgot yours at home. They have the full set of the latest gear from PING, a local Phoenix based company with some of the biggest stars playing in the G 30 irons and woods.
The golf shop and trading company is one of the most impressive Pro shops in the country. Since its opening in 1996, it’s been named as one of “America’s Best 100 Golf Shops”. In addition to equipment, the trading company features antique fixtures, custom-made furniture and all southwestern furnishings.
The Grayhawk golf club features a variety of events and activities throughout the year including the Hawks Favorite Rock ‘n Roll with free Bird and Leonard Skinner, Van Morrison and Aerosmith tributes.
