Downtown Scottsdale homes for sale is a great spot to check out opportunities for real estate in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Downtown Scottsdale has become an urban destination over the past several years with luxury high rise condominiums popping up all over along with loft apartments and a variety of housing options within minutes.

The downtown Scottsdale homes for sale has been a transition not to mention it a visitor’s mecca with shops, restaurants and art galleries abound.  It still maintains a southwest theme with regards to architecture but the increased interest with urban lifestyle living that could change sometime in the future.  There were always downtown Scottsdale homes for sale, but there were not many luxury style housing opportunities to fuel the need that has developed over the past 10 years. The development of the waterfront, Fashion Square Mall Fashion Square and housing opportunities like the Optima, Sage, Envy and 4020 lofts are just a few developments that have sprouted up recently that is driving buyers from all walks of life to consider buying downtown Scottsdale homes for sale to both live and play.

When you think of Scottsdale you typically don’t think of an urban environment, however that is not the case with Downtown Scottsdale homes for sale these days.  Having lived in Scottsdale for more than 25 years I can remember when I first moved here, this was a small town feel with some big city vibes.  Now it has become a destination location for so many people that it is hard to believe the transformation that has taken place.

Scottsdale has been known as the “West’s most Western Town” for a long time and I think that slogan is about the change to something more urban in nature a least in the downtown area.  When I go to downtown Scottsdale these days the only thing that looks and feels western is the old shops just south of Camelback Road.   Everything that has been built over the past 10 years looks and feels contemporary and totally urban in comparison.

Since Scottsdale has been a destination city for many years with seasonal visitors because of our beautiful climate during the winter months, the transformation of housing and businesses in the downtown area is exciting and a breath of fresh air in my opinion.

The great thing about downtown Scottsdale homes for sale are the prices range from about $90,000 dollars to over 4 million dollars, which opens up this area to just about anyone regardless of their income.   Not many metropolitan areas can boasts such great and affordable prices for housing in the heart of a downtown area.

Guess that is why more and more people are relocating to our wonderful city and making Downtown Scottsdale their new home.  Within minutes of downtown Scottsdale is the Scottsdale Contemporary Art Museum, Scottsdale Stadium Spring Baseball Cactus League where the San Francisco Giants baseball team spends spring training at, along with parks and hiking/biking trails along the Central Arizona Canal system, not to mention some of the best world class restaurants and shops.

Downtown Scottsdale is no longer a visitor destination but now has become a full time year round place to live, work and play with loads of housing available whether it would be apartment, condo, patio home, luxury high rise, single family homes and even custom homes are now all available for people to pick and choose.
